The Center City office exterior includes ledges, setbacks, fins, louvers, and a green roof, all features that complicate moisture control and drainage.
To ensure a reliable barrier, we applied metallic tape, single-ply, and reinforced liquid roofing membranes at each critical condition.
LaSalle Business School, Philadelphia, PA
The skewed glass curtainwall at LaSalle University’s entrance, paired with sunshades and brick cladding, created complex sealant challenges. To preserve integrity, custom fittings were added for sunshade support, and the curtainwall mullions were sealed to the moisture barrier before brick installation.
Drexel Millennium Hall, Philadelphia, PA
This highrise student dormitory is a distinct part of the University City skyline. Whenever a design requires exterior curves, the complexity of the curtainwall increases. In this case the entire envelope design is skewed to follow the twist in the frame construction.
Creating a reliable curtainwall system meant developing curved metal studs, and specialized support framing for the panelized cladding.
